Reception:
Katie: Katie has been in the customer service field for 10 years. She has worked in the advertising/marketing field and most recently the service industry. Katie prides herself on anticipating the guest’s needs before they are even aware of them.
Katie was looking for a fulfilling life change, and was offered and accepted a receptionist position at Zhen Reflections. Katie says she is honored to be working in such a beautiful spa & salon.

Joy: Joy is a college graduate with a degree in Psychology. Joy likes interacting with the guests and observing positive transformations through Zhen’s fabulous services. Joy is an integral member of the front desk team. She gives great tours and looks forward to meeting you in the near future!


Reception Coordinator
Alison: Alison joins Zhen Reflections as a native to the Twin Cities. As a 2003 U of M graduate, Alison began her professional career in Sales, Marketing & Public Relations for the restaurant industry. After almost five years, Alison decided a career change was in order, and the spa industry was everything she was looking for. Alison is eager to be part of such an amazing concept.


Esthetics:
Samantha: Samantha’s deepest interest in skin and skincare led her to the Aveda Institute. She discovered early on in her career that her passion was facial waxing and customized facials. What Samantha likes best about her job is combining relaxation and a successful treatment to every guest. She enjoys knowing that each guest looks and feels their best.

Diane: Diane has been in the Esthetics field for the past 18 years, and the beauty business for 28 years. Diane has worked with many skin types, and can recommend regimes for each individual. Diane specializes in cleaning out the pores with manual extractions. Diane also does permanent makeup, and has been doing so for the last 3 years on brows, lids, and lips.

Ashley: Upon completing Esthetics school, Ashley moved to New York City where she was given the incredible opportunity to work in one of Manhattan’s premiere sports centers and spas. While there, Ashley was able to fine tune her waxing and make-up skills as well as continuing her skincare and facial education at the Dermal Institute. Ashley’s passion is skincare, so she strives to stay current with new techniques and treatments. Ashley says there is nothing more rewarding than helping her guest achieve the skin they’ve always dreamed of. Ashley also does eyelash extensions.


Esthetics & Massage Therapy
Alicia: Alicia has 3 years experience in skincare and massage therapy. Alicia acquired her licensing in both the Scot Lewis and Aveda Institute. Alicia’s favorite product lines are Kate Somerville and June Jacobs. Alicia also has a passion for applying makeup, and has experience in free lance for photo shoots, commercials, and private events.

Massage Therapy
Angela: Angela has been doing Massage Therapy for 6 years. Angela enjoys helping people achieve optimal health in their bodies. Angela’s specialty is Deep Tissue and rehab massage techniques, but also enjoys giving a wonderful relaxing massage.


Stylists/Nail Techs
Amanda: Amanda graduated from Scot Lewis with a license in Cosmetology. While in school, Amanda participated in photo shoots and fashion shows. Amanda also attended a James Ryder (celebrity makeup artist) class while attending school. After graduating, Amanda did an apprentice program where she was able to shadow the experts in the field. Amanda enjoys working on hands and feet as well as working with hair, but her passion is hair and makeup. Amanda says she loves to shape what she colors and cuts. Her favorite part of her job is doing complete makeovers to bring out a person’s natural beauty. Amanda makes sure that each guest leaves feeling great about themselves.

Tiffany: Tiffany graduated in 2005 from the Salon Professional Academy in New Hope, MN. Tiffany likes offering a variety of services, both hair and nails. Tiffany enjoys working in Zhen’s relaxing atmosphere, and providing a retreat for her clients.

Assistant Spa Director
Jennifer: Jen comes to Zhen Reflections as a graduate from the College of St. Catherine’s, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Jen has spent the last 7 years in Hospitality Management. Jen discovered her love for the beauty and spa industry while working for an Aveda Salon and Spa, and then went to work for the Pebble Beach Resort Spa in California. Jen says she feels fortunate to be a part of a spa that is unique in its design, services, and standards, and is excited that Zhen offer’s International Rituals that make you feel like you are in another part of the world. One of Jen’s future goals is to travel around the world and visit as many spa’s as possible.

Spa Director/Owner
Shelly: Shelly is the Director and owner of Zhen Reflections. Her career has been in retail banking and customer service for the last 20 years. Shelly and her husband Mark decided to open a Day Spa after Shelly had experienced services at a local spa. They wanted to create a Day Spa that would be different from others in the Twin Cities; a spa that would be more resort like, and provide amenities and services that you would typically experience while traveling in other countries. After many months of planning, Zhen Reflections opened its doors on October 15, 2007. Shelly and Mark are excited for their guests to experience International Rituals, Turkish Hammam, a Flotation Suite, exclusive products lines, as well as traditional spa services.
